Description
Wilton CERT is now planning the 1st Quarter 2026 Disaster Preparedness Training. CERT is an acronym for Community Emergency Response Team. Training includes basic safety and disaster skills. The CERT program helps train and equip citizens to be prepared to help themselves and their neighbors in the event of a disaster, crisis or common emergency.
Training is open to all (over 18 years of age) and at no cost to participants. Seven classes run at Comstock Community Center beginning January 27th and a final hands-on session concludes the training on Saturday morning February 28th at the Wilton Fire Station Headquarters.
Instructors will include Wilton CERT leaders, WVAC, Wilton Police and Fire Dept members as well as a LCSW, and ACO -- who are all highly knowledgeable on their topics.
