Description
Calling all potters and those who want to get their hands in clay! Experienced or not, this is the class for you. Develop clay hand-building skills while creating beautiful pieces of art that you will treasure. The class will also cover basic potter’s wheel throwing. Vickie Foy, an experienced potter and teacher, will help you fulfill your creative dreams. Whether you are interested in making functional or whimsical pieces, there is something for everyone when it comes to clay.
Topics include: handling clay on the wheel; making even-walled cylinders (and other forms); trimming and adding finishing touches; decorating and glazing; and basic hand-building techniques.
A materials and firing fee payable to the instructor at the first class, is $75.
