Susie Hallman Bling! Crushed Glass on Canvas
Susie Hallman grew up in Riverdale, NY and relocated to Connecticut in 2005. She received her BA in Studio Arts from Hunter College in NYC. In late 2024, Susie had the opportunity to buy The Bare Slate DIY art studio in Shelton, CT and soon after pivoted the business to be a mobile art studio bringing her crafts to venues for open workshops as well as private events in homes and businesses. She also works part time at Board & Brush DIY Art Studio in Monroe, CT assisting in painting wood projects. Susie currently lives in Trumbull, CT with her husband and son.
The Bare Slate specializes in a variety of crafts including wood signs, beach-themed projects, resin and crushed glass projects, and dried pressed flowers projects. Her mobile art-studio's goal is to provide easy, fun experiences for the community at affordable costs. The Bare Slate also specializes in offering custom designs for her customers choosing to make wood signs. Susie finds joy in being part of people's creative experience.
