In 2006, my first go with yoga I thought as a dancer I would just "get it". Nope – didn't see the sparkle. In 2007, after a college rowing injury, I insisted I self-heal my way through. Insert yoga sparkle affect and being able to walk upright with soothed hips two weeks later. Oh it was magical. I was hooked!
Continuing practice for several years in Philly, I had moved back to CT and fell upon Mitchel and Tracy Bleier's 200hr RYT in 2014. I wanted to take it with me in my pocket everywhere and serve it up to everyone looking for the good stuff. After training I began following Basil Jones where I have continued to evolve as a student, teacher and human immensely. Discovering Saraswati felt a lot like coming home to the soul-filled, sweat drenched, mind clearing practice I fell in love with. I highly credit yoga and meditation for my friends, my lifeline through the life stuff and seeing the light in all.
A practice with me will include perspective shifts on the big picture, continuous discovery of your body and its alignment, and a heart-softening care-filled sequence always dancing with the edge. Talking you through the edge and revealing to you your capabilities are two of my very favorite opportunities as a teacher. Recognizing we always have more light within us than we see. I always look forward to encouraging your light on your mat. Can't wait to meet you there too!
