Description
Learn to paint stunning transparent flowers with watercolor. Using a simple step-by-step process, you will create luminous blossoms that radiate movement and light. By applying basic layering and color mixing techniques, students will achieve delicate petals and soft gradients.
Beginners will enjoy this introduction into the art of watercolor painting while more experienced artists will learn new skills. By the end, you'll have a finished painting and practical skills you can apply to any art project.
Materials:
- Round Brushes #2, 6, 10 Sable or Synthetic
- Fabriano (or similar) cold press watercolor paper pad 9 x 12 inches
- Plastic Palette
- Water container
- Pencil, Kneaded Eraser
- Winsor Newton or Cotman (or similar) watercolor 8 ml. Tubes:
- Cadmium Yellow Light or Gamboge
- Alizarin Crimson or Permanent Rose (or transparent equivalent)
- Dioxazine Purple (or equivalent)
- Ultramarine Blue
- Sap Green
- Paynes Gray
Please wear a painting smock or clothes you don't mind getting messy.
