Description

Seed sowing is a rewarding, minimal-effort way to begin a garden. Simply place containers in a sunny outdoor spot and let nature take its course. Winter offers the perfect opportunity to start planning and planting.
Learn how to sow seeds for flowers, herbs, and vegetables that can later be transplanted into a garden or pots in the spring. All materials are provided, though anyone who wishes to bring their own seeds is welcome to do so.
Please bring gardening gloves if you have them and be prepared to get your hands dirty.
A materials fee, payable to the instructor, is $10 per person or $20 per parent/child pair and includes everything needed: three types of seeds, plastic water jugs, tape, plant markers, soil, and shared watering tools. This workshop is intended for adults, or adults attending with a child age 10 or older.
Comfortable shoes are recommended. The workshop takes place in the greenhouse.
